“NEXT
LEVEL TRAINING”
shooting exercises are charted and therefore quantifiable. These
exercises will show
you your progress in a tangible way. A deviated mean average is the only
way truly see development in your performance. Through this specific
training your comfort zone will be expanded to include short fast to
long slow shots and all in between. We show you how a journal and mental
exercises can take you to where you want to be.
“NEXT LEVEL TRAINING” - JOURNAL
To be successful in any athletic endeavor you must have a plan. Without
a plan that is written in stone or on paper you will not be successful.
Whether your goal is club, state, national, world or Olympic champion
you will not obtain your goals without a plan. You must also train using
quantifiable deviated mean average training to chart progression and
identify issues. These issues or problems with a particular part of
performance will be identified in a very short period of time through
specific “NEXT LEVEL TRAINING” exercises. Through this specific
training your comfort zone will be expanded to include short fast to
long slow shots and all in between. We show you how a journal and mental
exercises can take you to where you want to be. “NEXT LEVEL TRAINING”
can be tailored to American or International Skeet, Trap, Sporting
Clays, FITASC or other shooting sports. Use of successful training
models will exponentially raise the individual athlete's confidence and
therefore reduce training time to achieve desired goals. Center Shot
Shooting Academy will help you reach your goals whatever they might
be.
At CENTER SHOT
SHOOTING ACADEMY we believe that 85 to 90% of all misses can be
attributed to a breakdown in the basic fundamentals:
• Break Point - The place
in the flight path of the target where commitment meets trigger pull.
• Foot Position and Balance - a position that allows the body to be at a
zero muscle tension position to deliver the shot.
• Start of Focal Window - the place we have our starting focus when we
ask for the target.
• Muzzle Hold Point - the place we hold the muzzle to mount to the target
comfortably in our own internal pace. Usually half way between break
point and start of the focal window.
• Target Line - Knowing the path of the target as to have the muzzle
under the line to attack from the bottom.
• Insertion point - Based on your style of shooting, it's
the point on the target line where the muzzle is placed to kill the
target.
Mastering these
fundamentals, through practice, will increase your scores no
matter the level of shooter you are.

Based on the best selling
book by Dr. Spencer Johnson, these lessons give new meaning to the words “NEW OUTLOOK”. As
humans we all hate change until it is proven to us it’s better. This fun
and exciting lesson teaches that all change is not bad. We all want
employees that have open minds to change. The unique and growing sport
of shotgun shooting set in a totally safe environment will show every
one in the class that change is good. It does not matter if the students
are male or female and have never handled a shotgun or have shot all
their life. Each student will take away a new sense of acceptance of
change. The class consists of thirty minutes of classroom instruction
and up to two and a half hours of actual shooting on the range.
Cost is $75 per person and
includes Targets, Ammo, Gun Rental and Eye and Ear
protection.

“Point
of Impact”
study.
Many instructors will take
a student straight to a lesson. They start the lesson without the
slightest clue if the gun fits or shoots where the athlete looks. In
fifteen minutes you can find all of this out at a point of impact board.
The coach and athlete start with much more knowledge and can refine
expectations for the lesson. If after five lessons I tell the student
their gun needs to be fitted I just told them I wasted their valuable time
and resources.
LENGTH OF PULL (LOP)
is the most critical measurement on your shotgun. Mount is affected the
most by this measurement. Being able to have a smooth mount is essential
to having the head contact the comb in the same place every time. Since
the eye is the rear sight on your shotgun it is imperative this
measurement be correct.
FULL GUN FITTINGS
can involve a try gun or the athlete’s personal gun. The athlete’s
personal gun must be at the proper length of pull before a full fitting
can be done. This involves a simple procedure used by the best
fitters in Europe. Between twenty-five and fifty shots at the at the point
of impact board will yield all the measurements necessary for your
gunsmith to adjust your gun. Many new automatics come with wrist shims
that allow fitting right in the field and a gunsmith is not necessary. We
can make sure your gun shoots in the same place you look every time.
